Paternoster Terms of Use

Thank you for praying with Paternoster. These terms are the agreement between you and VARGER Group LLC (Conroe, Texas, USA) when you use the app.
1. What Paternoster is
An app for praying and listening to the Our Father in Spanish, English, Italian, Latin and Aramaic, with a voice, words that light up and sacred art. It is a tool for personal prayer. It does not replace the guidance of your faith community or any professional service.
2. Praying is free
Everything needed to pray is free forever: the five languages, the voices, the music, the counter, the streak, the 7-day challenge, asking, giving thanks, history, reminders and watch. We will never put a paywall in front of prayer.
3. Sostén Paternoster (Paternoster Support)
If you wish to support the project you can choose:
- Weekly support: USD 4.99 per week, with a 3-day free trial.
- Yearly support: USD 39.99 per year.
- One-time offering: USD 9.99, a single thank-you payment for those who simply want to give thanks once. It does not renew and does not grant days of Support or any other benefit.
Weekly and yearly supporters receive: 21- and 40-day challenges, choosing the prayer scene, encrypted cloud backup, the "Supports Paternoster" seal on the share card and the thank-you line in Settings. Prices may vary by country and taxes; the store shows the final price before you confirm.
4. Billing, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions are charged by Apple or Google through your store account. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. If you start the 3-day trial and do not cancel before it ends, the first week is charged. You can cancel at any time from your phone's subscription settings; Paternoster has a shortcut in Settings → Support. When you cancel you keep the benefits until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
5. Your content
What you write in requests and thanksgivings is yours. It is stored encrypted on your phone and, if you turn on backup, encrypted in the cloud too. We do not read it, moderate it or use it for anything.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app for yourself. Do not try to break its security, extract its voices, music or art, or resell them. The voices are licensed synthetic voices and the art is original work of VARGER Group LLC.
7. Ownership
The app, its code, design, art, music and voices belong to VARGER Group LLC or its licensors. The text of the Our Father belongs to all humanity.
8. Availability
We work to keep the app running at all times. Praying needs no internet. Backup, purchases and analytics do depend on external services that may fail or change. The app is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those required by law.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, VARGER Group LLC's liability is limited to what you have paid for Support in the last 12 months.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we let you know inside the app before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by the laws of your country.
